I am having a 100 gallon tank custom made, and plan to stock an Oscar with potentially some striped Raphael catfish.

The filters I'm looking at are the: Fluval FX4, Fluval G6, Eheim 2178 or Eheim 2180.

Anyone have any recommendations or thoughts on these filters?

Thanks in advance

I live in the U.K and from when I looked before, the UK don't have the sun sun filters or AquaClear filters, so those aren't really an option.

Oh ok, gotcha. Well, if you have AquaTop, it is the same filter as SunSun, just different names.

Otherwise, I would recommend a Fluval FX-6 for that tank. Or, an eheim equivalent, but I don't know which one that would be.

If you're having the tank custom built, have you thought about having overflows installed in it and running a sump? That would really be the best option.

Skip all of those and get two SunSun 304B's. Or, if you want a name brand, I would recommend a Fluval FX-6 for a canister, or two AquaClear 110's for a HOB option.

After having a look online in the U.K., it seems a company called All Pond Solutions does their own version of the Sun Sun canisters, and they seem to look exactly the same.

All pond solution filters are sun sun made in the same factory , I have been using 2 2000 efx for two years so far and no problems, for the price there really good, only down fall is the power consumption.
