Garlic extracts do help. You could make some gel foods that include gelatin by Knox, praziquantel, blanched veggies and garlic, and add his favorite commercial foods there. This is one way to allow the fish to ingest the medicine and garlic altogether. PM me if you want the recipe as I am not always around to monitor each thread where I post.
it sounds like what my FH had. try metronizadole, iv heard it better ingested but if he wont eat then u can just put it in the tank. apparently its the best healer. unfortunately i couldnt try it out as he died from the stress of being moved to my lfs while i was away.
but if it brings hope then my FH prob didnt eat for around 2-3 months...ocassionally a bit here and there but never enough to call it a meal.
