I've had my tiger Oscar for nearly a year and is roughly 8-9" and shares a 100gal tank with 2 endlicheri bichirs who arnt the fastest at finding food of all types.
The issue I'm having, despite the 2 polys both being 10inches and decent girth, Oscar sees food and takes it no matter how full it is, crushes massivore and makes a ton of mess in the tank and scares the bichirs. I'm curious if there's a better plan than donating/relocating the Oscar. Open to getting 1 or 2 tankmates that would keep her entertained maybe.
A group of bala sharks/tinfoils?
I 100% am keeping the polys.
Oscar has gone to bite polys if food is in their jaws and they have defended themselves but it's not something I enjoy having to worry about if I don't stuff the Oscar enough before hand

I have an Oscar with a JD. The oscar is very interested in food lol.

He recognizes my hikari container and comes "running when I shake it. I open both lids on the tank and I distract the Oscar with some pellets and quickly throw a few on the other side so the little guy can get a meal.

I've also tried a combination of sinking and floating foods.

Thanks yeah I currently feed sinking massivore, omega one floating, hikari gold, and tilapa typically 2 nights a week. I wouldn't mind a nice looking cichlid friend over nasty tinfoils

Welp decision is easy now, Oscar has to go. Beating up bichir with a past front fin injury just to take food from its mouth and chasing it. Someone's getting donated/trade in today. Sorry fishy
