Hi all! Gosh I just LOVE this site! 3 cheers for those who put it together, awesome job!

However, my question is.....

I put in a chunk of cucumber for my pleco..He is eating the blazes out of it!! Sooooo is my Albino Oscar!!! Is this normal. Is it good for him/her??? I found it kinda amusing! He chases off the pleco so that he can have it all by his self.

Oscars eat anything it's perfectly normal for them to eat different foods some which you wouldn't expect them to eat. But yeah it's not a problem.

Yeah oscars will eat anything.

I have one that will eat zucchini.

some veggies are good for them I give mine peas twice a week.

They are pigs. And messy eaters. Anyone know why they blow out half the food they eat?

I believe it has to do with the teeth in thier throat,the food is getting chewed/ripped as its swallowed and the stuff behind whats being swallowed chuffs out the gills
