I have a 7 in oscar in a 65 gallon tank with a 5in jack,5in pumkin seed sunfish lol and a 9in pleco but for the last week my oscar has been putting its mouth against the glass and trashing aroung for about 5 to 10 sec. He does is so hard that water in comeing out of the tank any ideas on how to make it stop. He looks completly healthy and has been eating good. Is it just angery?

He's hungry or mad at you! ;)

Mine have never thrashed like that, but have mouthed the glass for food.

Is he showing aggression toward any of the other fish? Are the other fish picking on him? Seems like alot of big fish for a 65.
My O never thrashes around like you described but he does press against the glass when he see i have food for him. Maybe getting him his own tank might setle him down some.

Seeing his reflection on the glass will cause this too. He will take his image as a threat and attack it.

lol, very possible. Get him a mirror and see what the reaction is!

tank is a bit overstocked.. he may not act aggressive towards the other fish, but aggressive at the tank walls or even you instead. Rule is MIN 1 oscar per 55, pref 75. One JD per 55 gal. And the pleco just adds to it all.

Your water parameters may still be fine if you keep up with WCs, but your oscar may feel crowded.
