Oscar Growth Rate

Does anyone know the growth rate of a tiger Oscar. There both around the 3.5"mark. Its been years since I've had an Oscar and have no clue as to how fast they will grow. Right now their diet consists of market shrimp, pellets, blood worms and krill. They're in a 90g(48"x18"x24") and I do a 35% water change every week. I also have a 3" Green Terror in there with them.

mine grows almost an inch a month it seems. my tiger is at 2.5 maybe and he was a little over an inch a month ago

I would expect at least .5" a month for the first year.

Inch a month up to 9-10" then slowly over the next year. If you aren't getting that growth rate then check water quality and adjust diet. Young O's need super high protein diets when they are growing from Fry to 9-10". Feed a couple times a day.

first year, 10inches then slows to .5'' every 2 to 3 month more or less.

Mine grew about an inch a month to nine inches.

I agree with 1" per month until they hit about 10 inches. After that it slows dramatically.

as long as the Oscars are bigger the the GT. mine are doing good. GT are slow growers. IMO.
