Oscar Growth Rate

Can someone give me a little more insight in to the growth of Oscars? I got mine on March 3rd at about 1 inch and he is now about 8.5 inches? He has been around that size for a bit over a month maybe almost 2. Is this when their growth is slowed down? I just hope hes not stunted. He has never had Hole in the Head so thats a good thing.

Looks really healthy. Yes, 8" is when they slow down a bit. Yours reminds me of some huge ones I've seen. I'll bet he gets at least 15".

I hope so I am keeping up with the water changes a lot since I have 2 parrots in with him. I need to get the 125 gallon but I needs a job first.

Yeah, mine just hit 6" recently and seems to be slowing down, yours looks nice!

Oscar grow about an inch a month till they around 9 inch. After the first year most oscar hit 11-12 inches in the first year. After the first 9-10 inches there growth rate do slow down some.
