i want to know that i have two albino oscar but i am noticing that they are not growing quickly as they were used to i offer them with bloodworms and shrimp and feederfish as treat they are living in 6 feet long 1.5 B 1.5 H

and they are dominating the tank

i mean my actual question is that they are around 7-8 inch in size how long will it take for then to reach above one foot

As they get larger, their growth slows down. They may never get more than 1 foot, it depends on the oscar.

Well in that case, you oscar has probably been infected with alien parasites and will slowly reduce in size until it disappears all together. It will then attain negative mass, creating a field of anti-gravity, which will most likely implode the earth, some time in the next 2-3 months.

Why should anyone give you any real advise on anything? After reading the BS you posted in the Arowana forum.

I'm sorry are you the official forum police? If you read that whole thread there is actually a link to the site where prankur got that bogus info so how about you mind your manners?:chillpill:

Anyhow - as to the actual question, totally normal. Oscars shoot up to about eight inches and from there the growth slows dramatically. Keep up large, frequent water changes and a healthy diet and they should hit a foot before too long.

No, are you? of course not, your observation skills are lacking, this is appearent since you did not notice that the link, posted by Tsunamiboy @ 12:46pm was given 3 hours after my post @ 9:48 am. Cenecker you need to use your brain as it is intended. Prankur had more then enough oppertunity to give this link himself, yet instead he made an additional thread and kept leading everyone on.

Not to mention he indicated, in the quotes below, that he was in contact with the guy and had seen a video, plus posted a suposed pic of the so called aro

will some one explain more about the oscar than derail the thread to show each other who is the alpha male on the forum:irked:

anyways oscars do slow down in growth after 8" or so

I agree, they do slow down in growth for a little while, but don't worry, keep feeding them shrimp and bloodworms and they will be at 12 inches before too long. I bought mine around 9" and he is now hovering around 13" now and is the dominant fish in the tank!
