Oscar growth!

I got myself an oscar the 31. October, he was 2", now 14. January he is 7" and pushing 8" after roughly 10 weeks.
That makes good 0.5" a week. Im impressed after feeding shrimps, Ocean Nutritioun, NLS and mysis like crazy and w/c once-twice a week (50%-70% each time).
Here he is the day i got him.

When I've had my oscar just about 1 year now and I bought it at just about the same size you did. I had very similar growth as you did early. I fed him a good amount and he just blew up.

You will notice his growth will start to slow down a lot and he will start to become a lot thicker soon.

Stunner,yes thats normal, they grow like a rash on your privates for the first few months

Very nice O just hope my SA and CA tank that I am wanting to start will do just the same. What size tank is he in and what type of filtration

Thanks guys, i have had tons of Oscar, all grew a LOT slower.
It is a 125. Filteration is Rena XP3 and Juwel filter system.
