oscar gt compatable?

would one oscar and one GT be good tank mates, or would a JD be better than the GT?

GT might bully the Oscar depending on the size. I would try a JD.

I would say JD too...I got a tiger oscar for my JD, they are now love birds. It's really cute.

I've got a GT with 2 oscars and for the most part they leave each other alone... The GT only chases after my flowerhorn and severum. The 2 oscars on the other hand seem to bother each other. There usually will see a small chase where my larger of the oscars chase the GT when he goes into frenzy mode chasing the other fishes.

Other than that when they were smaller they only got into chasing each other the first week I got them.

depends on how aggressive the GT is

but generally a JD would be a much better tank mate

In the long run, GTs seem to be the most aggressive. Although magic can happen with tank size.

It will obviously depend on tank size, as long as the oscar is larger I think either combo can work

i guess it depends on the individual fish too. i saw an oscar about 10 " getting bullied by a male 5 inch firemouth in a 125 with just 3 other tinfoils. it was kinda funny.the oscar was not getting beat up (FM's being bluffers) he was just not dominant even with the extra 5" in size.lol thank for all the answers
