I had 5 baby oscars than 2 started growing fungus on his/her tail. I just lost one of them last night. So basicly I have 4 now.
3 of them are perfectly fine but the 1 still has fungus on it. I'm afraid to lose that one also.

What is this disease called? and what should I do to cure it.

Sorry, I took pics but it didn't show in camera.

Run up to your LFS and pick up either Maracyn 2 or Melafix they are both a good product for funguses. Before you treat do a 50% waterchange followed by a 25% every other day and they'll get back to normal. I have a feeling that this tank is not cycled yet (if it is ignore this last part lol) so try and get some gravel or filter material from an established tank to speed up the process. Best of luck.

Melafix probably does have anti-fungal activity, but you'd usually use Pimafix first. You can use both together if you want to.

Fungus is a secondary infection, caused either by stress from very poor conditions, or physical injury. You need to work out what the underlying cause is here.

Thanks. I'll pick some up today.

I do 25% weekly changes. and I have a 90 gallon filter on my 30 gal that it got infected on. so it's probably not the water. Well, who am I to say anything.

I'm sorry if i don't make sense. I'm going crazy right now!, arg

I've had that tank for about 6 years, It was running pretty long.
