oscar has hole in the head.

i got a new oscar and i noticed athat he has four or five holes in his head. he dosnt look sick at all hes very active. but any advice or info would be much appreciated.
 
Keep water clean, and mix up the diet, keep water clean and feed 1/2 the amount of food daily, and most importantly.....keep water clean.

good advice... daily water changes is correct... and try to keep him stress free.... no tank mates that are aggressive to him because that will stress him... and varied diet and some aquarium salt added to the tank... all helps
 
Try using some Kent trace minerals and removing the carbon. Unless the water turns yellow (which is shouldn't doing regular water changes) don't bother putting it back in. It worked for my Managuense's HITH.

No.
Melafix. Make sure there's enough surface movement, melafix depletes oxygen levels.
