OSCAR...HELP FAST!!!

Ok so my oscar has had this sore on his lip for some time now and im really starting to get scared....I walked downstairs to feed them tonight and when i was watching him eat when he opened his mouth the "pimple" kinda buldged out and got bigger and then when he closed his mouth it got small again..I have tried salt and high temps....lots of water changes....and mala/prima.

Wat else can i try to get rid of this...and wat exactly is it

how big of tank is your oscar in? I have had a few "rescue" oscars that were raised in tanks to small for them that had "pimples" when I got them. the bump is generally located on the lower jaw and comes from the fish rubbing on the side of the glass. In a properly sized tank (75 and up, but depends on size of fish), the bumb will go away over time in some cases. Zeus, my avatar, still has the pimple on his chin after several months, but size and pimpliness have drastically decreased.
 
Its just as OscarCrazy said.

Lots of Oscars get those. Mine had one. Its just a calus from rubbing the glass and other stuff in the tank.

it might take a month or more for it to go away. But its just like something you might get on your finger if you rub it in a certain area a lot.

If you really want to, just dose the tank with aquarium salt to help it heal faster.

Other than that, its absolutely nothing to worry about.
Like I said, mine had one and I asked the same question a while back on a couple different forums. Just a calus.
 
It is a normal callous that forms on the bottom lip.Most O's get them and it doesn't mean anything is wrong. Both of my O's have them - one has a gravel bottom and the other has sand.
 
yeah its on lower jaw and he is acting fine.eating and all taht good stuff....He is in a 55g tank at around 7 inches.......i know its prolly a lil small already but im 15 and parents just decided to buy me a bigger tank so gotta wait for economy to get back on track and my dad to be garanteed to kkep his job then the lil O will have new home in the 220g range
