What type or mix would you guys say these two little stinkers are? Their lighter base colour is more orange than white so I don’t know if they fall under the Lutino category or if they are possibly something else. They remind me of little creamsicle’s. ?

I’m an angelfish/discus type of gal so treading into oscar territory is a bit new to me!!!!

Thank you! The base colour being more orange than white was what was making me wonder. My first thought was Lutino then I wasn’t so sure.

One of them doesn’t have any black pigmentation as of yet at least (top picture) so if it remains that way would that one be an albino?

Yes, it's always possible black pigmentation could still appear in a year or two as the oscar grows into adulthood.

I’m pretty excited to see these guys grow up and what they turn into! It’s a complete departure from what I’ve ever kept.

My kiddo says oscars are his dream fish and the 90 is currently free so I thought it would make a decent grow out tank for what will hopefully be a couple of Oscar buddies. He’s really happy to have them. I watched them in the store for over a week and these two constantly hung out together every time I saw them and are even resting with each other at night in this tank so fingers crossed I lucked out and got two that will get along.

Best part of these being the kiddos “dream fish” is when a tank upgrade is needed my other half will be on board, lol! Who doesn’t need more tanks?
