I have 2 blue gouramis, 5 giant danios. a dinosaur eel (senegal birchr) and a pleco. I added the oscar in last night, as well as some minnows for him to chase. he's about 2.3-3" in length and isnt very big. He isn't harrassing any fish at this point in time, Could this work? or am i crazy for trying?

In a few month he will be the only one

My gouramis have been beating up on him though...they're pretty hearty fish and the danios are far too fast and have plenty of hiding spaces. and don't tell me he will kill my pleco, cause i have one in with my ps.

My blue gouramis are pretty big, as well as the pleco, they wont have a problem, i might have to move the danios out but i think i might be able to keep them all happy if i keep minnows in the tank to keep the oscar happy and un-hungry. I will post back here in a month or so with an update.

Regardless of the other stock that tank is about half the volume you'd need for a single oscar for life, and it's the wrong dimensions as well.

Yeah i know i have many tanks, a 55 gallon bowed front, a 75 gallon, and a 150, He's far too small to be in any of the other tanks, I don't like the look. I'm not stupid, He will live a happy and healthy life in a tank that is proper for his size. Thanks for your input though!

I had buenos aires tetras kill my gouramis a while back... An Oscar will do the same.

Not implying you're stupid. It's your 4th post. You could be a Rhodes Scholar and just not know what you're doing. And oscars are one of the most commonly underhomed fish. Good to hear you understand the fish's requirements, though.
