my oscar is such a pain hes 5 inch albino anything i put in with him he doesnt like a torments i dont no what to do hes making it so hard to have a good aquarium and after my severum problems its getting quite discouraging has anyone else had these problems

ive had bad problems with fish. for example my gold sev was psychotic and used to beat down a con, Loisellei, firemouth, killed its sibling and murdered an oscar twice its size. it was 2.5" when it killed the oscar. the only one who kept it under control was my GT and the sev took a few beatings till it got the hint that it wasnt strong enough.
all cichlids have their own personalities. some are wimps and some are psychos. you have just had bad luck, dont let it put you off.
when introducing a new fish, particularly a new cichlid, i would suggest egg crate to separate the tank and let the 2 fish get comfortable with each other over a couple of weeks. after all the tank is the O's territory and your throwing in a challenger to the O's territory. thats the way the fish will see it. he is just protecting what is his.
failing the egg crate, take out the O and rearrange all the decor and put the new fish in first. give it an hour or 2 then re-introduce the O and then they will bothe be new to the tank then. this also has great effect and a high success rate.

failing that, sell or give away the O unless your willing to have a single fish if it means that much to you. its still small so there is a chance it could go quickly.

right now the sev just stays on the one side or the oscar terrorizes him im worried he wont eat tho i think i may rehome my oscar im kinda torn i like my oscar but ive wanted one of these sevs for a long time

My Oscar also beats on my Sev occasionally, dither fish help a lot, have you got any?

mate what size is this tank please? ive just added in the last two weeks,,,,2 5inch oscars/ 1 3inch golden saum 1 3-4inch midas/devil in with my oscar pair est of for over two years at 11+inch ,,,,, without a hitch,,,tanks only 150us

Only fish my oscars ever beat on is each other.
