I have a 75G with a 4" Oscar and 3" EBJD. I figure that if I'm going to introduce any new fish now would be a good time since the O is getting larger by the day.

I've read the stories of O's trying to swallow catfish with disastrous results. I'm thinking this is a rare occurrence, but not too sure. My LFS has some 2.5" Pictus and I'm thinking about getting 4 or 5 of them.

Good idea considering the growth rate of the Oscar, or maybe go with a larger Plec? Thanks.

i have a tiny 3-4 inch pictus in my tank with a alligator gar that is 10 inches long .... and there is no problem there so i would get the catfish, there really nice and look good in schools

I've got a 7" ocsar with a 4" plec and there is no problem what so ever, I just added a few caves and the plec stays outta the oscars way. In fact I rarely ever see the plec he/she kinda just does his/her own thing and eats good
