hey there, thats my current stock, all juvies, in a 125 gal regular. what would you recommend to go along to add some life to it, like action..idk if mixing a school of silver dollars would work, or maybe a couple clown loaches? opinions?

Flowerhorn... you will get plenty of action!!

It will likely get moved to general...

I would say don't get any freak hybrid cichlids--flowerhorns, but you already have blood parrots, so too late for that! ;)

Please don't just throw a couple clown loaches in... they are sensitive scaleless fish that have certain care requirements and could easily get picked on and stressed out too much with your stock.

My suggestion would be a hardy catfish. Silver dollars are great dither fish, but are ugly! :)

I used to have a few clowns in my previous tanks but I had to move so they were sold, but ugliness aside, would you think a school of silvers would be cool? I would agree to the catfish but my Oscar was always trying to attack the long wiskered cats in the other part of the divider in the store, so I don't know if just longwiskered ones tick oscars off in general, because my last Oscar was PO'd with a longwisker too.. So.. Any ideas on a type of cat?

Silver dollars are cool fish. Especially in a school of 6 and up! Just keep up on maintenance. Silver dollars can be sensitive at the juvie stage.

No don't add a flowerhorn, not because its a "freak" but because it will more than likely be the only thing living and maybe the parrot. Maybe a group of bala sharks or tinfoil barbs.

said he wanted action....lol:nilly:
