i recently put a jaguar ciclid in with my albino tiger oscar in my 180 gal tank, since i got them theyve been a little aggressive towards each other, theres een a couple aggressive lip locks but for the most part theyve been okay, my question is will they be able to co-exist in the long run or with they kill each other? if i do need to get rid of one how are the jaguars as far as pets? i like my oscar cause he is extremely friendly towards me, he constantly craves my attention and follows me around whenever i go past the tank and he also aggressively hunts down feeders, will i get the same personality from the jaguar or are they more likely to keep to themselves and only acknowledge me during feeding time?

being young and provided with space, it might work. You have to keep a watchfull eye, however.

Thats the interesting thing about the hobby. Youll notice fish "personality" vary as much as dogs or humans for that matter....good luck, let us know how it goes.
i feel like it's definitely possible, but a jag wouldn't be my ideal choice. those are generally a lot bigger and more aggresive than oscars.

If your looking for a good tankmate for your O(personaly i'd keep the jag)you have many options,Severums,Green Terrors,Chocolates,JD's on and on.
I'm about to test this as well.. The jag I'm getting is very docile though. Here's to hoping he won't try to kill my Oscar
i have 2 jags with 2 oscars and a midas and they all get on fine the midas and the oscars are more frendly in my opinion with more personality were as my jags just patrol there territory havnt found my jags to be nasty though all seem to get along fine totaly diffrent to what i read about them on the net so i think that proofs every fish is diffrent
