Anyone know the maximum size for an oscar in a 300 gal 8 foot long 2 foot wide and 30 inches high if well fed, regular partial water changes?

if you do everthing right its not unusual for them to get 14" biggest I ever heard was an 18"

You can have the best foods available and biggest tank for them but I can
assure you that its not the reason that'll make your O big. Yes its a healthy diet
and comfortable living but the "genetic" strains in all oscars differ a little bit.
Most O's will grow huge 14"+ and I've seen a couple which only get to a 10".
Quality diet, prestine water, & tank space is pure spoiling, Lol. Chances of you
having a runt is very slim anyway. Any pics??

I have a 15" oscar in my 265. I think it's still growing! lol

I have a Red Tiger Oscar that is 13", and he was only 10" when I got him so they grow, and whatever food you throw in there they eat, complete pigs when it comes to food you know? LOL

My 210 houses a 14 incher

An 18" oscar? Would love to see that, especially in real life as pics likely wouldn't really do it justice.

I agree with LemonHead, and my guess would be that a wild strain O would be likely go grow biggest as opposed to the albinos and veiltails etc.
