Hi i have a 450L 5F tank started with 4 oscars trying to get a pear but now i have got rid of the other 3 thay where not working out now only left with one at 21cm now so looking for a new tank mate was thinking of a jd or a jaguar cichlid what do u think. Have a fx5 and a ehime 2229 wet/dry. also have 2 convicts and a tiger pleco in there.

It depends on how big and mean your Oscars are, a friend of mine keeps a JD with his Oscars, but he got them all at a young age and they grew up together... How big are your Oscars?

I'd say no to the jag also. JD should work though...You could also try large Crenicichla, large severums, 1 large firemouth, large banded leporinus, large chocolate cichlid, or a large clown knife

now that i have taken the other oscar out it is acting a bit crazy swiming up and down the glass and acting strange not crusing around like he used to but then he was all ways attacking the other oscar aswell it also not eating as much it has been 1 day since i took the other one out is this normal.

I wouldnt wanna try a large crenicichla. They are know for there aggression

I've actually seen many people successfully keep crenicichla with oscars...theres even some in with oscars at my LFS and they get along great. I do understand every fish is an individual though and some can have more of a milder temperament for their species and some may be extremely aggressive for their species, so it may or may not work.
