Hi guys, I havn't been on here in a while because ive had no problems or anything that I needed to check with the community. but now my oscar isnt eating. again. A while back this happened, and after a couple weeks he just started to eat again. Now, it is happening again, over a longer period of time. I even bought some feeders to try and trigger him to eat something, but he didnt touch them. there is nothing else wrong with the tank, i do regular water changes. Any suggestions?

Also, what size tank is he in with the tiretrack eel and pleco?

Camera is broken. They are in a 55, but the TT is only 8" the O is about the same, and the plec is about 9". I know it is too small for life, but I think it is alright right now, I have two filters running and I do 25% water changes every week.

Well, if your Oscar is not eating and has not been eating for a while, this might be your cue to upgrade. That or get some bigger filtration.

He might not be full grown, but with a 9" Pleco and 8" TT plus the Oscar.... thats a lot for a 55g.

Post your parameters.

Nitrite
Nitrate
Ammonia

25% w/c each week are probably not enough any more.

I agree, your nitrates are probably high, with your stocking level 50% water changes a week might not even be enough...
