Oscar not eating Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold+ HELP!

So when I was away at school my mother starting feeding frozen silversides and live goldfish to my Oscar instead of my staple Bio-Gold diet because "he refused to eat the other stuff". So now I'm home for spring break and he absolutely refuses the Bio-Gold. I try dropping a pellet in the tank, he takes it in his mouth then spits it out and eventually gets sucked into the filter. I've tried feeding him nothing but the Bio-Gold for 5 days now and still no luck. I'm getting worried now because he's starting to go after my bichirs :eek:

What should I do?!
 
Starve it....it will eat when it wants.
 
Whats the size of the oscar and the birchirs?
 
yeah in about a week and a half it will reconsider the pellets. lol
 
Its certainly not going to starve, but the bichirs could be food if they are small enough. They're very wormy.
 
My Oscar is like 8" long. My biggest bichir is like a 10-12" (not too worried about her lol) but my other two males are like 6-7". My Oscar will swim down to the bottom toward them and kind just 'sniff' them then go back up to the top, but sometimes he tries to grab them but then lets go. I put in some extra cover for the poor little guys. It's been a little over a week now and he's still refusing. I'm going to try a water change, maybe that will spark his appetite.
