ok so i went up to NY to visit family for a week, and i have two filters that filter at about 750 gph, i had my uncle in charge of my fish, i told him feed only a couple of pellets a day, (75 gallon tank), well he gave them the remaining food, used up 50% of the container. So when i came back i was furious my crystal clear water was smelly and cloudy. So i went to petsmart today and bought the aquarium vacuum, i got all the gunk off the bottom, but the water turned brown, so i did a 75% water change, (of course i used the conditioner+bioclear), the filters are working and the water has cleared up quite a bit, I bought 2 small pleco's (i have a pond outside and i live in florida for when they grow up), How can i get the water to clear up(will it ever be as crystal clear as it was?) and how can i keep it from stinking?

Get something like API Ammolock, do 50% water changes 2-3 times a week for the next two weeks. Clean out your filters every water change. Siphon the gravel good.

Oscar problem???????????

clean the filters, get new carbon, and keep up with water changes.

im guessing its his oscar tank, thats why it says oscar prob,,,

as he said, it should be fine, just syphon though the gravel ,,,, it should be ok esp as you caught it already,,,thats the prob with leaving fish care to people who dont know what there doing, even if you left it to someone who did, they peob do something you dont like as everyone has there set ways,,,

plecs might not have been a good idea as now you adding to the bio load,,,,poop machines,,waterchange/waterchange/waterchange

Get rid of the Pleco. I tell everyone that. Plecos are useless as far as cleaning goes they do more bad than good. Unless you actually like Plecos and you want a tank of them by all means go ahead, just prepare to have good filtration, a large tank for them, and do weekly water changes.
