My Name is David, and I'm having problems with my oscar of 5 years. He lives in a 125 gal with 2 aqua clear 110 filters, 2 air rocks, religious weekly water changes and checks. He's my baby and he's sick and I am worried. He lives in the tank with about 12 tiger barbs and a couple of danios. He has been laying on the bottom of the tank very inactive. He hasnt eaten in like 2 days. I am very worried. Today and last night he has been more active after this weeks water change. on Tues. Every Tues. but still returns to the bottom and just sits there, sometimes leaning to one side. I am very worried. Any help would be appreciated. There are no physical signs on him besides his behavior. If I can figure out how to get my pics up here I can show you video and pics if they would help. HELP ME PLEASE! I've searched every where, cjecked the water even took it to get checked. Thank you for your time and patience.

You can upload videos to youtube.com and then link it here.
He isnt eating or moving about? Im not sure, but it sounds abit like internal parasites? This can be treated with medicine that most pet stores sell.

Theres also fishtubercolosis, its symptoms are no appetite, slow swimming, and the skin somewhat darkens. After a while it will develope open wounds and such. But this decease is worst case scenario and rarely happens.

But since this is an oscar, i just have to ask, have you moved anything in the tank?

Have I moved or changed the scenery? I have. Added and moved stuff. He's been better last night and today. he ate tonight when I got home from work. I'll try to upload some pics and videos. Thank you for responding. Any help is greatly appreciated. I've had him a long time.

Oscar are really sensitive to changes to the tank. If you move stuff around they tend to sulk for a few days.

My two little oscars sulked for a few days after I took out a plant to give them more swimming room.

As stated above...oscars are drama queens.
Change anything in the tank, and theyll act up.

I just moved a piece of driftwood, and they decided to ignore me and the food for a whole day.
Change the whole tank and theyll probably ignore you for several days.
They always forgive you eventually though =Þ
(because they want food...)

Here's a lttle video. I'm not sure if I did this right. It's called "his new kingdom" by warren dafish, but you can see his activity as well as some of his non activity. Again today he has just been chilling at the bottom. He did eat last night. But still, his behavior is not good. I dont think it's drama thats been putting him down. I'm gonna try an internal parasite med. Thanks for your help.
I'll keep you ypdated.

Hows the oscar doing?
