Oscar question.

I have 2 oscars and I dont know what sex they are. I cant get a vent pic so I cant sex them. My questions are about behavior. If you have two of the same sex oscars will they like any other cichlid fight for territory? If they are of opposite sexy will they share the same territory, swim and play together?

Not necissarily. Even if they fought, that doesn't make them same sex, and visa versa. I have never heard of a for sure way other than having them pair off from a group and breeding, or venting them.

You can not sex Oscars unless you acually watch them breed. What size tank are they in? It all depends, different O's have different personalities

Right now they are in a 55g but will be moved into a 72 gallon by the end of spring. There are other fish in the 55 too. it is overstocked because I didnt do any research on the fish before I got them. I have since then joined 5 forums and do a ton of research before I even think of buying a fish.
