Hi,
I have a 37 gallon tank. It's fully cycled and had lots of fish in it. I went away over the week only to return to a tank full of dead fish. All that's left are my 2 opaline gouramis and my rapheals catfish. If I move the gouramis, could I get 1 or 2 baby oscars? I have a 200 gallon tank they can go in when they grow abit. thanks.

yea it will be fine

yes, you can keep 2 juvie oscars in a 37 gal for awhile. i'm wondering what killed off your fish when you went away for a week?

Cool. What killed the fish is the heater died and my friend forgot to feed the tank :(

I would just wait until the bigger tank is ready for them, but as long as the issue that killed the other fish is resolved, just add the little guys to the 37, just make sure the water changes are frequent

A heater going off and not getting fed won't kill fish unless the tank was sitting outside in the winter. My guess is there was something else going on and I'd figure that out before I quarantined 2 Oscars in there. (Which is all the longer I'd leave them in there if they were mine).

Maybe the heater malfunctioned and maxed out the temp. That happened to me once, came home and almost a whole tank of fish were dead. The thermostat had messed up and the water was 96 degrees.
