I wanted to know if it was possible to find a mate for an adult oscar...i kno that u can't sex an oscar but its just a question that I have been thinking about for sometime now.
its insanley hard, But as stated above thats all I could think of, though I'd add a divider, an adult O can be relentlessly savage.
I was lucky that one of my larger O's accepted its widdowd mate, only after 3mnths of being divided in a 55g, now theyre in my 180 happy as ever.

I feel it's better for an Oscar to be alone than risk the potential quarreling and death that could happen when trying to roll the dice on adding another Oscar as tankmate. They are pretty happy by themselves from what I've seen. For me, it's not worth the risk. But it can work with close monitoring so if you're willing to play the game it can work out.
The Oscar needs the accomplished 65 gallon to its self. this will abide acquaint one of the angle die, I advance removing the jack if you wish it to live. The accomplished catch basin is your Oscars area and now this accidental angle shows up, not travelling to end well.
