I have 3 male oscars in my 75gallon soon to be relocated into my 265g
my question is about what length to oscars start to get there color i had a red oscar before an it was a nice rubyish red the one i have now looks dark red/black an my albino tiger only has couple spots on his tail of orange an my reg. tiger has orange lining his stripes (the usual) but he is the smallest are they always guna look like that or at a certain age will there colors intensify?

how do you know that they are all males?
mix thier diet up a little with some veggi's and some frozen food along with a good pellet / flake. earthworms do wounders for fish!!!!

I dissagree w/ the veggie diet. They should get all of the fiber they need in the pellet. Harkari gold is great for color.
Are they pale? If so then that maybe stressed.

the thing with oscars is tht they are very dul in color there not like say a jack demsey, to really bring out there color usually clean water and a good quality pellet does the trick

when i got my male red oscar he was sort of a brown orange tinged colour,
now he is like a carrot. i feed them hikari gold and waterchange them every week.

it depends some fish are just genetically built with those colors.. i mean .. when i go to a store or specialty shop i look for two things good health and good color if i dont find good bases right off i dont buy. although some enhansments can be made to even the dullest off fish. just bye a good high quality color enhancing fish fod and suplement your oscars diet with that.

oh ok thanks to all for the answers, i rotate hikari gold an some regular wardley cichlid pellets, I will try them on some earthworms an they like goldfish every now an then

size doesnt have an effect on their color my oscars have had deep colors since they were about the size of a quarter..and they will always go nuts over live food, its fun to watch them devour 2 dozen goldfish in 10 minutes but in the long its gonna do more harm then good...

Only feed my oscars live goldfish about once a month so i don't see to much harm in that.
