Today I got a call from a fellow fish keeper that some old friends of his had 2 Oscars and were ready to get rid of them by any means necessary... including chucking them into a lake or koi pond. When I heard this I had to go rescue them. When I got to the house where they were, I found they were housed in very poor conditions. 5" each and paired since birth, were a beautiful Tiger Oscar and a very lively Albino Oscar in the nastiest water I have ever seen... and... in a 35gal bowfront corner tank with no decor at all, a tiny HOB filter, and WAY too much light. I quickly scouped the pair up and put them into my 5 gal bucket and took them home. Lucky for me my tanks month long cycle ended yesterday. When I got home I put my 4" Red Oscar in my 150gal tank at the same time as these 2 new Oscars. Right now all 3 are swimming together.

Heres some pics!

GREAT JOB!! n yeah they look great, doesn't look like they have any HITH at all, do you know how long they were in that tiny tank? poor little guys, they probably don't know what to do with themselves now that they have so much extra room, they probably think they've died and went to fish heaven haha

well done, nice save . . . man, those must be two of the happiest fish around ;)

Nice tank set up and gratz on the new fish. They look great.
