i recently picked up a 75 just for my oscars, but i want to set it up the best way for an oscar, what type of gravel, plans, rocks, etc... any suggestion would be appreciated

Maybe every oscar is different, but mine tear plants up. Plastic or real. I learned my lesson the hard way with real plants first, and then I bought fake ones and they like to tear them up too.

Just a thought-putting 2 Oscars in a 75 gal is like putting each in a 37 gal tank. If you get lucky and they get along in a 4' tank you're going to be a water-hauling fool to keep water quality up. They're messy foot long fish. I wouldn't put too much of anything in there that's going to take up precious 'real estate' in a 4 ft tank with 2 Oscars. My opinion is 75 gal is too small for 2 full grown Oscars, there's just not enough room.

Yer 75Gal i little small for two ,

I have a couple of Oscars and the tank is set up with sand a couple of large peices of bogwood along with some large and small rocks , three large fake plants and a couple of tunnels made out of some plastic pipes .

That has worked for me for 4months now with no problems .

Live plants are not your choice when it comes to oscars. You can try Java ferns and anubias though as these plants are a few of those that can be ignored by fish that like to demolish plants. Substrate is not often an issue. You can do fine with fine gravel or sand. As oscars are most likely to rearrange the whole setup, a few rocks and woods to serve as a refuge will suffice.

i am moving them out of my 55g, they fight every once in a while but for the most part they get along, on my 55 i have 2 aquaclear 110 filters, seems to work well, the new tank came with a fluval 304, i have pebbles in the 55, though it would be better since in the 45, they would spit the finer gravel around, and yes everything has been rearranged, almost everyday! broken glass heaters, now i have 2 metal ones. any suggestions on filtration for the 75 with 2 12" oscars, the 304 fluval probably wouldnt be enough?

you can get a fluval 304 and a ac 110.

i would keep 1 oscar and keep with other cichlids and a catfish.
