My oscar has white something in his eye....I treated as a fungas according to my lfs. Today I did a 50% water change....should I wait another 48 hrs before doing another 50% water change. Also I was thinking of gettin rid of the gravel... what should I do.

Sorry no pics right now...camera battery died while trying to take pics.

A pic really would help us give you an answer. It could be bacterial, member on here had a fish with nasty eye infection thet was initally treated as a fungal infection. It turned out to be bacterial that developed fungas as a secondary infection and buy the time it was diagnosed and treated she saved the fish but the eye was lost. I would almost be willing to bet it's baterial but without the benafit of a picture I don't want to jump the gun.

I agree, get a pic as soon as you can, it may be beneficial to start a thread on the Freshwater Diseases and Health Issues forum.

Is the gravel a new addition, do you have any reason to suspect it could be the cause, if not then I would leave it, I would think trying to remove it would cause un-needed stress to the fish
