The past couple of nights, my Oscar's been freaking out. I have no clue why it is, but it's tearing itself up! He's thrashed himself to the point where his scales are being knocked off and giving himself shallow cuts. I would take out the decor (3 different sized PVC pipes), but I don't see how that would help. And I think it would cause more trouble with the other fish in tank with the Oscar. Anyone have a clue or suggestion why this is happening?

or possibly a parisitie problem aswell :D

Poor Water Conditions..

Aggression Issues with other tankmates?

Judging by the fish you have listed in your signature, I would assume poor water conditions because of the bio-load you have in the tank..

The other would be the hybrid or walking cat are beating the crap out of him at night..

Is he or any other fish in the tank rubbing on decs or on bottom of the tank? Is his tail vibrating up and down or is he puffing his gills out? The first could be a illness/parasite and the second could be signs of irritation/aggression that may result in bodily harm to self. Mine at times will turn a lighter color and vibrate their tail as if they see their reflection and will attack glass and thrash around bumping into what ever may be near in tank. They seem to do this more at night when the room is dark and light in tank is on. Maybe I'm losing my mind but this is an observation that i have made.....

mile's make mile's of sence :D damm I should have picked up on that .....

could be poor water conditions, Or Ich also how big is your tank ? you have some fish in your sig which reach some really large size's he could be stressing out more than the others if you don't have enough tank space !

I got them all in a 75g tank until I can get my pond built (again). They're all pretty small except for the the Oscar and JD. I just did a 50% water change. None of the other fish are acting up, it's just him.
