Oscar swollen

My ~14" Oscar's right side is swollen around what I would say is the abdomen.
He is eating just fine, and acting as he has since I got hime about 5 years ago.
Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on?

If it is just one side may be an injury is there anything in the tank he could hurt himself on?

When my clown knife had a bacterial infection it first showed up as a lump on one side in its midsection. He initially didnt show any other signs of illness but he eventually had trouble swimming because its swim bladder was full of excess gas. It got so bad that he was floating on the surface from exhaustion with about 1/4" of his back exposed. Luckily I treated with melafix and he pulled through.
