First let me thank you for any responses..... I appreciate your time. After being in the hobby for years, off and on, I am trying to do it in a more proactive manner.

I currently have a 60 gallon acrylic aquarium with a 4 inch Oscar and a 3 inch earth eater cichlid. I have a Aquaclear 110 and fluvial C4 for filtration. I am wanting another fish or two. I need advice on what I can put in here that would be unique. I was thinking if a Starry night cichlid and or a Dragon Goby. I want something really unique. IDEAS?

I currently have a stand being built for a 100 to 125 gallon aquarium.

Thanks for any help or insight

Peace

Maybe a junipari geophagus. They’re beautiful and they help keep the tank clean, plus they’re peaceful. In a 60 gallon, you don’t have much wiggle room to put more fish if you already have an Oscar in there.

I agree with Mr geophagus that the 60gallon is about fully stocked with what you have already, and that you should wait until the larger tank is ready to go, then add all 3 at once.
In that way, they are all in the same boat as far as territory goes. In the 60 gal the oscar and earth eater already own all space in the tank.
Paratilapia (starry night) cichlids can be quite territorial, especially with something like an oscar that looks outwardly similar. The same dark color, the same mouth shape often initiates hostility between cichlids because they see the other similar cichlid as a competitor. Similar mouth shape often indicates a similar diet = competition, both the oscar and Paratilapia are mainly insectivores.

Great feedback - I really appreciate it!
