Oscar tank mates ?

Can a Blue Acara or a Yellow Belly Salvini go together ?

Also can any of them go with a GRFG ?

Hoping to get one them in the next hour but i am not really sure which to get .

Blue Acara , Yellow Belly Salvini, would do good as long as you have hideing places for these fishes. how big is the oscar?

The Oscar is only 4inch at the moment , along with my 6inch GRFG and 7inch Pleco soon to be goin into a 8x2x2foot tank .


I know that my current fish will get big and will need there swimmig space but as the Pleco spends most of it's time on the bottom it looks a liitle empty up top with just 2 fish so i was thinking on get ever a Blue Acara or a Yellow Belly Salvini or maybe a Red Devil Cichlid but not too sure , i really want a Jack Dempsey bu cant find on any where at any of my LFS or on the net so i thought one of the these could work well in the tank .

you can try a red devil, but that get pretty nastey with age.

What would be best ? Or is there any other Cichlids that i could have a look at ?

Hopfully going to go and get something tomorrow now , so i have all night to have a think about one .

I was thinking that , as my LFS has a coulpe of Albinos and have great coulors on them both , but saying that the shop has a 6inch black/ common Oscar too with great bright orange patches on him/ her , so i really not sure which one i would get , but then saying that i would love a other type of Cichlid .

So really i'm starting get confused now .

Oscar or another type of Cichlid ?
