ok, so i just wanted to get the facts strait. i have been told a huge range of tank sizes for oscars, from 1 fish needs 300g to 6 full grown can live in a 55 LOL! but seriously, i just want to know what size is really required for an oscar? 2 oscars? thanks in advance

alot of people I know think there oscars are big when around 10 in and they do indeed look big,but if you take good care of them they get 14-16inches in 2-3 yrs and that 10in fish you thought was big is not so big anymore hes huge...thus a potential 16in oscar is going to look silly in a 55 gallon better off with a 75 to start only 20.00-30.00 more than a 55.

Nothing smaller than a 4'x16" footprint for one. Two should get a six footer. A 55 is not suitable for an Oscar let alone 6. Dont let people make you think they are either. A 12+ inch fish in a 12" wide tank is not cool

75g is best for 1 oscar, and 125g is best for 2. Oscars are active fish, and need the swimming space.
