I have a 150 uk gal tank that currently houses 2 Clarias catfish (18" and 14") 2 Pink Kissing Gourami and 1 Oscar.

It is filtered by a fluval fx5 and an aqua-one 1200, I will be adding a tetratec 1200 if I add more fish.

The Clarias are very tolerant of mid/top swimmers but will not tolerate any other bottomdwellers.

The Oscar is very laid back and currently about 6"

I am wanting to add a school of mid/top swimmers and suggestions so far have been: Silver Dollars, Tinfoil Barbs and Filament Barbs. I'm not keen on the first 2 but do like filament barbs so what are your thoughts, would they be suitable?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Get some silver dollars about 5 or so they own and they are super fun to look @.
Oh and they will grow and grow and grow.
The loaches would have given you some nice color but as you said the clarias won’t like them. Also the dollars are so fast your Oscar won’t be able to eat them.

A School of , i am ot sure what to suggest . As i would of ever said Silver Dollars or Tin Foil's but you say you dont like/ want ever of them . Giant Danio's are nice but i think they would just get eaten as they are quite small compiared too the S'D's and the T'F's .

Some nice fish to get if you dont end up getting a school of fish ~

Jack Dempsey
or a trio of Acara
or 2 or 3 Severum
or maybe a Chocolate Cichlid .

Maybe if you can upgrade to a larger tank and think about getting a Silver Awo' .?! :)

LOL, other half would love an Arowana but no space (yet) for a tank upgrade.

I like the Acaras and may consider them as a different option.

Would a 55g support two oscar 8'' and 4'' for a year???

And then what sort of tank should i get just to house the two O's
