Oscar & Uaru

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Should be OK for a while, although as adults that tank might be considered quite minimal.
As they age in that tank, water changes will need to be constantly upgraded.
These are senitive species, so depending on your water hardnesss, and conductivity every other day, 40 to 50% waterchanges may be required, just to keep hith away.

You don't think the Oscar would become to dominant over the Uarus? I am not sure as I haven't kept oscars, but my Uarus are the most unaggressive and peaceful cichlids I have known.

Oscars from my experience aren’t bullies and are just gentle giants. They’re big food hogs though.

Not sure to say. He's not aggressive at all to my sveni, severum or green terror. Just a hungry pig. Lol

I keep nitrates down below 5ppm to hardly noticable with large water change, water changes wouldn't be an issue. (80% wc)
I do larger WC to all my tanks to keep the water fresh for all.
