i've come to getting my 350l tank set up in the next couple of weeks and i've kept a full grown oscar and a pair of juv Gt's in a 55 for about 2 years (hence the upgrade)

but anyway there's never been any trouble at all, the odd bit of displaying just to let the male GT know who's boss.

but im becoming concerned that the oscar is becomin quite a lot more aggressive and with it being about 10/11inches vs 7inch of GT... im thinking one probably the gt will get pummelled.
in the past week the oscar has displayed alot, showing alot of frustrated behaviour etc

i've heard that they can be an awfully bad match... but never really seen it.

anyone have any suggestions experiences or similar?

oh and new tank = new decor.... sand bottom be better than pea gravel? think it would suit the O's digging sessions

please help :)

hows your male gt been acting towards your O?? i prefer pea gravel but whatever you prefer. in a 350g tank you should have no problems at all with aggresion with the O and the GT's as there should be plenty of space to hide. good luck with the tank :)

350L or 350G? 350L isn't much of an upgrade from a 55.
The GT will best the O anytime, esp if its paired your O's days are probably numbered. My one Male GT (8") would push around my 3 O's (11"-12") when I first put them in my 220. But know (GT m9"/f5", Os 12"-12.5") the GT pair will attack the O's if the get to close when they have eggs, but when they aren't breeding they all coexist.

350l my mistake i just took it as 350g as its mostly used, your oscar is probably gonna get beaten up on later on down the track.
Could be a typo, he/she has used L the said his/her tank is a 55 (unless thats 55L:WHOA: )

hehe 350l 55g
they've only spawned once in the 55g and there'snever been any aggression further than gill flaring. the female GT is VERY timid alot of the time its too busy running away from the male to boether with anything else.

dont really want to remove them as they're serisouly nice fish but the oscar was the reason i started keeping fish so i cant chuck him out!

do we all think removing the female will help things?

If you have the 350L and the 210L (I think) why not keep the Saums in the 210 and put the O in the 350L

ahh well i've moved house and theres NO room for it here has to be just the 350l ;( and my parents arent keen on keeping at at their house anymore hehe so alas i need a solution.

the other day i was considering just getting rid of the 2 GT's and having just one other large specimen fish and keeping my little featherfin cat ... dont want to part wit my GT's really though.
