Greetings to all :)

I have a question about these two fishes - who is more agressive as single specimen in fishtank?

I recently had to giveaway my 6" indo tiger because he became real pain in the ass to silver dollars - when he felt about it, he chased them so they almost killed themselves by hitting glass..
Otherwise he had real character, got used of me, hand feeding (well stealing from hand) and so..

So i would like to try it with oscar..

Can result be the same like violent chasing SDs? At lfs they had 3 oscars about 7-8", one about 4" and one about 4" angelfish in 250g cube..seems they get along pretty well..

My 120g tank contains one 9" and one 16" bichir and four 4" silver dollars..filtration is overkill (prepared for incoming 300g tank).. just dunno..should i risk with oscar or not?

Thanks for repplies :)

I would take home bigger oscar (about 8")..

The more i read about them, the more i read about that SD are one of the best company for them.. i know that every oscar has own personality and those at lfs seemed all calm (but indo tiger also was until now so i cannot say they wont change their manners through months) :)

Btw 300g is coming by the end of the year before someone says i should put him in big tank - im impatient like 90% of the people (but need to reinforce house ground first before tank arrival) ;)

I have a 120 with a now 9-10" oscar and a 13" NTT dat and 5 spotted silver dollars. Works well. I really only saw aggression when I had the oscar without the dat and vice versa. The oscar gives chase to the silver dollars a bit, but nothing serious.

Thanks to all :) i decided to wait for bigger tank so there will be more room in case that smt goes wrong and SDs have more space for clean getaway :)
