Oscar .vs. Jag Whose the Dirtiest?

I have had both Jag and O fully grown and by far the O is messier. I don't know if its because they grab all the food then spit it out (so they seem messier) or if they are just simply messier, but when they eat alot more food comes out of their gills then I have ever seen exit a jags gills.

Oscars tend to turn their food into dust storms, blowing everywhere around the tank. mine made a bigger mess with pellets than with feeders or anything else we gave him.

You make a good point. I guess it would depend on the type of food. I assumed pellets. But over all, that just means that the O will be cleaner with the right type of food, not necessarily "clean" lol.
