My Oscar is 8-9 inches has had a little stunted growth but now in a 250 gallon. but she has white around the outside of her fin. does anyone know why???
Actually, the wider that line is the better the Oscar is growing (from my observations). The new tissue takes a little while to pigment so what you see at the edges is new growth that hasn't gotten its color yet. As the fish ages, the white edge will become narrow.
yup, its a good thing, it means that he/she is growing again, like already stated the wider it is the faster its growing and as the growth slows the margin will become smaller. but def a good sign that she is taking advantage of all the new space
