Would a young baby Oscar that grows up with clouded archer fish that already 2-3inches be fine as adults? Or will Oscar take them out in the long run.

As soon as they fit into the oscar's mouth (or the oscar THINKS they'll fit), they'll be food.

Totally depends on the Oscar - some are playful puppies, others tear up their tank mates. Bit of a crapshoot, if you ask me.
Gotcha make sense. My 2 archers are my babies so definitely don’t want to play with fire. Do you have any bigger fish that could be compatible? There isn’t much information on archerfish especially freshwater ones online. Leopard bush fish? Type of Knife fish? Anything? I think I’m upgrading to a 55 gallon soon (possibly bigger tank, depending on what I want to add) and got room to fill. Looking for something unique and badass

I had good results with Catfish. Since they are so different in appearance and area of the tank they occupied, that my Oscar Toni virtually ignored them. I had her with Ornatus Pimelodus and Sorubim lima. I rehomed Toni due to my really hard high PH water. She went to a fellow MFKer that kept her with Featherfin cats as well.

When she was a lot smaller she lived with a Raphael cat, till she outgrew it.

For fish compatible with archers, I agree that small-mid sized catfish are a good option. Your suggestions of ctenopoma and knife fish (African or BGK) would also be fine. They’d also fine with non-agro cichlids like geophagus. Overall, I’ve found archers to be pretty easy to house with most non-aggressive tank mates.
