i have an 9" oscar and a 3" oscar. they are not in the same tank, but i am wanting to make room in my small tank by moving him into the bigger tank with the big oscar. i want to know if i can as of now or if i need to wait a little bit. he is 3"-4" and 1"-1.25" tall. what do you guys/gals think?

I think you should try it and see how it goes, you can just remove him. I out my 2 inch oscars with my 8 inch and he just ignored them, now 3 months later they are 5-6 inches and my big one is 9 inches.

thanks i will try

I would highly recommend removing the large Oscar... competely redecorating the tank, hopfully adding/removing decor not just moving it around (your fish are smarter thanyou may give them credit for)... introducing the lil guy... then reintroducing hte big guy...

My friend redecorated her oscar's tank and the next day everything was back to normal

everytime i re arrange my tank it ends up barren and empty. i have no clue how to keep the tank rearranged. i will try tho

is your Tank Setup up-to-date? it says your "big tank" is a 55G that already has a 9" oscar, 12" pacu and 13" pleco? oh, and two other 5-7" catfish besides?

if that's the current set-up, I don't think this is going to work . . . that tank is already carrying a heavy load, too heavy IMO

if that's not the current set-up, could you tell us what it is?

it all depends. oscars have very unique attitudes. The big oscar might just ignore it or he might not be to fond of the little guy. You can always try it out and keep a good eye on it see how it goes
