Appears to be a prolapsed anus. There's no hard fast method of treating this condition. In fact, treatment may not work. Here's are 3 methods people have had success with:

1. Fast the fish for a week. If the fish has an intestinal blockage, the fast may give the O time for its system to balance out.

2. Treat the O with epsom salt. This may relieve any bacterial infection causing the Os intestines to bloat and force out it's digestive system from all of the swelling.

3. Get some roughage into the Os diet. Offer it frozen english peas and/or dried split peas (after soaking and softening). The peas should help move all of the hard-to-digest items your O is currently being fed. (like the superworms and pellets).

broccoli is apparently incredible for digestion in fish.. juxtaroberto had a thread where he talked about his pacus ****ting insanely after having some.

Is there an update on what happened with this? I think my Oscar has a prolapsed anus as well. Any ideas how I can help him?
