I was wondering who sells the oscars with the o one their tail fin. I've heard that these are wild and can only be bought from vendors?

The ocell in the Oscars tail is absolutely common. All wild, all tigers, and most of the other morphs have them.

In ALbinos you sometimes don't get to see it.

Point is, it is easier to find O's with the ocell than without, wild or captive bred.

Okay honestly I haven't seen it before until I saw pictures of some "wild" oscars. I'll have to check the local fish stores for some now. Thanks

Good luck finding one without it lol. Sometimes youll see wild spp. with dorsal occeli but 90%+ of wild caught & captive oscars are going to have a tail oceli.

Tim -i've seen a few that have no "O" on the tail here in LA.

yeah it tends to be more prominent in the wild Os and some wild ones will even have ocells on their backs like stated but most captive bred ones will have one though the more inbred they are the less prominent their occels become until some lose them altogether but most still have them

Mine has the "O" and I got it at Petsmart lol
