most pellets enhance color, shrimp will also.

Its not as much the food that enhances the Oscars colour, its more about the tank set up and temperature. The happier the Oscar is, the more colourful it is.

oscar produces so much waste compare to other fish, I keep my tank bare bottom, also wanting to put some decors in it, but dont wanna make it hard for me to clean the waste, my tank is 55 g, and the oscar is still small, around 3", I give pellets and sometimes feeders but not to often though, I also heard that certain food could actually strengthen the color as it grows just like the food being given to arowana fish, such as crickets, and others insect, dunno if its working...

i feed mine hikari gold, new life spectrum, massivore delight, earthworms, crickets, krill, and shrimp

Popcorn shrimp
50% water changes every week
Mealworms fed on carrots
