cichlidfish Peacock Bass MFK Member Jun 18, 2005 4,643 978 120 54 Nov 1, 2010 #2 Oscars are waste factories and it gets worse as they get larger. I use sand in my tank, and it is pretty easy to get up when doing water changes. Plus it looks nicer then plain glass.
