Is $35 Dollars too much for a full grown oscar. He is at a local pet shop and is in a small tank with a med. size oscar. He looks healthy for now. What do you guys think about the price......sorry no pics.

Don't worry about the no pics thing, I think we all know what a fully grown oscar looks like. 
$35 is decent... If you want the fish then offer them a lower amount, and if they don't budge then just pay it.
Probably about the most common, "boring" monster fish you can have though.

i wouldn't pay that much, most people wanna get rid of them / HITH etc id just buy a healthy young one and raise him
Definitely go with a little guy and raise him to that size! Plus if you look at the right place, u can get small ones at 1/3 that cost. IMO the best experience is with the little ones
